Reduce pain from that old injury, surgery, broken bone, pulled muscle, etc. with Myofascial Release.
We're excited to offer Katie's workshop that we think all will benefit from, both Yogis and Pilates peeps alike!
What is Myofascial Release?
Myo = Muscle and Fascial = Fascia or connective tissue.
Top Reasons to Learn & Perform SMR (Self Myofascial Release)
1. Increase blood flow and reduce inflammation.
2. Connect to your body and enhance proprioception (awareness of the position and movement of the body).
3. Improve muscular range of motion/flexibility.
4. Reduce muscle soreness.
5. Promote quicker recovery.
6. Reduce stress.
In this workshop you will walk away with the tools and information you will need to start to add Self Myofascial Release (SMR) techniques to your everyday, to feel better in your body, go further with your practice, and continue on and add life to the other physical activities you enjoy.
Myofascial release helps to release and loosen larger parts of the body reducing stress and inducing recovery. As the body will be warm after class, stretching the skin and massaging larger muscle groups will provide an easier transition into trigger point therapy. Massage ball will be incorporated into this therapy session to increase flexibility, improve sleep, improve circulation, improve athletic performance, reduce pain, reduce plantar fasciitis, shoulder impingement or reduced range of motion and give you an overall feeling of well-being. We will also use hand weights as a massage tool, feel free to bring your own (clean & sanitized), or use our hand weights (5, 8 and 10 pounds available).
This workshop is accessible to all, yoga, Pilates and fitness clients will benefit from this session. Please refrain if you have experienced recent trauma to a body part, have an open wound, are pregnant, have cancer or experience blood clotting.

Desire to create more steadiness in your mind?
Rocket Yoga is a dynamic and fast-paced flow of yoga. This 90-minute class structure is similar to that of Ashtanga Vinyasa, consisting of a warm-up, after which one continues in the standing poses, seated poses, and ending with the traditional closing series.
Students are encouraged to make their own interpretation of the traditional asana/pose and can remove or modify binding postures. This makes the sequence accessible to all practitioners, even those who may have structural disabilities who would otherwise not be able to practice traditional Ashtanga Yoga methods.
Rocket Yoga is a perfect balance of tempo and sequence. These routines are appropriate for all levels of students, with plenty of ways to modify the classical poses. This class will "build you up" from modifications to eventually, more advanced poses.
Rocket Yoga, also known as 'The Rocket', is a style of yoga developed by Larry Schultz in San Francisco during the 1980s. Rocket Yoga is based in the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa. It is composed of poses from the Ashtanga series. Schultz's yoga was first called "Rocket Yoga" by Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead, because Weir said, "It gets you there faster.".
Bring yoga blocks and/or a yoga strap, if desired, however, equipment is not necessary. Room heated to 88F along with fancy lighting and a selected playlist enhances class experience.
Stephanie received her Rocket Yoga certification July 2017, and since then has offered this style class in and around Chicagoland, now at Hella Hot Aurora. Come spend 90-minutes with Stephanie, learn more about this unique class, enjoy new yoga moves, create more steadiness in your mind and have fun discovering a different yoga practice.

Yoga and Pilates to end hunger for children while raising awareness and charity by providing children with life-saving meals and a brighter, hope-filled future.
In partnership with the non-profit organization Feed My Starving Children, a $20 cash donation feeds a child at least 66 meals! ($106 feeds a child for a year). Proceeds this year will also go towards the City of Aurora’s very own Hesed House for the greater good of not just children and families in the world, but also in our own community.
We kindly suggest $20 cash or check donation the day of the event. Of course, any cash donation amount will make a difference in a child's life! To date, Hella Hot Aurora has raised nearly $20,000 over the last ten #isweattoendhunger years, equaling 60,600 meals - an incredible example of the power of community.
Our doors will open 30-minutes before each class with limited room capacity, please reserve your spot, and choose only one class to attend. Class hosted by Feed The World Yoga Tour.
Donation money collected at front desk, or a head of time online.
Unable to attend this special class but feel inspired to help? Donate here and support our Teacher, Rachel Kuhn, reach her donation goal. It's through her deep compassion & dedication to this cause along with the yoga and Pilates that inspires us to make a difference in the world.
Follow Feed the World Yoga Tour on Facebook and Instagram and see like-minded people around the world sharing the same passion.
Thank you for your kind consideration.
Sincerely,
